How to Navigate Beautiful Rainbow Training
How to Use Beautiful Rainbow Training
Welcome to Beautiful Rainbow Training, a resource for instructors who work with students with significant cognitive disabilities. Beautiful Rainbow Training is the only free online curriculum specifically designed to teach work-related skills to students on the Essentials and Alternate Pathways in Alabama.
Thanks to grants from the Stringfellow Health Fund, the Harland Jones Charitable Fund and the Longleaf Fund of the Community Foundation of Northeast Alabama, all of the lesson plans, videos and assessments are available at NO COST. These resources are aligned to Alabama Extended Standards and Transition Standards and have been recognized as model instructional materials by the Alabama State Department of Education.
Beautiful Rainbow Training includes lessons on a wide variety of work-related subject matters from “soft skills” such as how to dress appropriately for work and how to get along with co-workers, to specific job-related skills such as how to work a commercial dishwasher, how to shampoo hair and how to decorate a cake.
Each lesson page includes the lesson plan with alignment to State of Alabama objectives, video lesson, and an online assessment that measures the student’s mastery of the objective. You will also be provided a link to the videos and assessments that can be shared with students. You can share the link with your students via email, google classroom or other platforms. The student page includes the video and assessment but not the sharable link and lesson plan.
